We're recruiting a Stock & Procurement Controller for a growing engineering business where no two days are the same. You'll be at the heart of keeping materials flowing through the business — ensuring everything is ordered, stocked, tracked, and delivered on time.
This is a vital, wide-reaching role. You'll be working across stores, engineering, and manufacturing — and you'll be the go-to person for purchasing, inventory, and systems accuracy.

Sourcing and ordering parts and materials for engineering and electrical projects
Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms
Monitoring stock levels, raising purchase orders, and updating the stock control system (bespoke system)
Adding new items to the database and keeping records accurate
Liaising with stores and production to solve part shortages or picking errors
Improving stock control processes and system usage
Keeping the store function running efficiently with minimal disruption
Experience in procurement and stock control
Strong IT skills – stock systems, spreadsheets, and general system navigation are second nature to you
Excellent communication skills — you’ll be dealing with suppliers and internal teams
A proactive approach to identifying and fixing issues
Someone who enjoys bringing order, structure, and efficiency to busy environments
